#8 Ft. Mike Hengen WHL Alumni
Sunday Apr 19, 2020
Sunday Apr 19, 2020
Brady Leavold is joined by WHL alumni Michael Hengen. Hengen, like Leavold, grew up in British Columbia's Lower Mainland. Hengen and Leavold were arch rivals throughout minor hockey. Brady actually hated no one more than Hengen. Hengen played his minor hockey in Burnaby in one of Canada's most successful and historic mionor hockey programs, Burnaby Winter Club. BWC is a privaate club that draws in the cream of the crop from the lower main land and were always the top team year in and year out. Leavold reveals how he was scared of Hengen during the U-16 tryouts in 2002, leading him to quit after the first ice session. The following year Leavold decided nothing would stop him from making the U-17 team. Both Leavold and Hengen made Team Fraser Valley and BC's top 40 following the BC Cup. After being teammates for the first time they instantly became friends and found themselves playing together in the WHL for the Swift Current Broncos. Hengen was there when Leavold packed up and quit at 18 years old, a mistake that still haunts Leavold till this day. Listen in as they reminisce on there time playing together in Swift Current and what Hengen did after hockey including helping the Penticton Vees to a national championship when they won the RBC Cup in 2012 with Hengen behind the bench as an assistant coach.

#43 Ft. Matt Marquardt - QMJHL Champion - 13 year pro
Sunday Aug 16, 2020
Sunday Aug 16, 2020
Episode #43 features 13 year pro Matt Marquardt from North Bay, Ontario. Brady joins Matt live in person from the Buchman household in North Bay. Leavold was in North Bay for 6 days getting back on the ice after 7 long years. He crossed paths with Matt in the parking lot of Memorial Gardens Arena, home of the North Bay Battalion of the OHL.
Brady and Matt record episode 43 from Blair and Mandy Buchman's back porch. Brady stayed with the Buchman family for 6 days while in North Bay. This is an excellent listen for any player aspiring to reach the next level.
Marquardt was undrafted by the OHL but went on to play 3 years in the QMJHL in cluding back to back 40 goal seasons which led him to hear his name called on draft day back in 2006. Marquardt played 5 years in the AHL before making his way over seas. Now winding his career down he is like Reggie Dunlop in Slapshot, acting as player coach over in Scottland playing for the Dundee Stars.

#51 Ft. Brian Leavold Part 2 - The Brady Leavold Story Part 3
Sunday Sep 13, 2020
Sunday Sep 13, 2020
Episode 51 of H2H features Brady's dad Brian. He comes back again after joining Brady on his 50th episode on September 9th 2020. Brian and Brady coast though the harder years of their relationship in this second half of their story. The Leavold's both share openly but come no where close in sharing their story in its entirety. Look for both Leavold's to release books in the future. It will be there that all will be revealed but hold on, buckle up and enjoy episode 51. Brian shares the opening page of his book which brings Brady to tears. This is one for the heart strings, but is an easy listen.
